Calgary
Calgary is the 4th largest CMA in Canada, with over a million residents. Calgary is second only to Toronto as a home to Canadian corporate head offices.CBS Outdoor is a dominant Outdoor provider in Calgary with more Outdoor ad faces in the market than any other Outdoor company. A significant reason for this is that we have the City of Calgary's Street Furniture contract which includes over 700 ad faces and coverage throughout the city. CBS Outdoor also maintains a strong Horizontal Poster inventory in Calgary.
Calgary is a fairly easy city to navigate as it has been laid out using a grid system. East-west roads are avenues and north-south roads are streets. Most addresses will include a directional like SW to tell you which quadrant of the city the address is in.
While Calgarians tend to live in the suburbs; there are some key downtown neighbourhoods as well including: the Downtown West End, the Downtown Commercial Core, and the Downtown East Village, Chinatown, Midtown and the Beltline. At the district's core is the popular "17 Avenue", also known as the Red Mile, popular for its many bars and nightclubs, restaurants, and shopping venues.
Calgary is proud of its sports teams including the Calgary Flames (NHL) which play out of the Scotiabank Saddledome and the Calgary Stampeders (CFL) in McMahon Stadium.
